Imagine No Religion: Consciousness Creates Reality — Chapter Four.

GNOSTICISM AND THE INFINITE LIBRARY

GNOSIS IS THE FORGOTTEN ART of revealing knowledge by asking your imagination questions. I am a gnostic writer and speaker. This is also referred to as being a channeler. Through developing my intuition/inner guidance, I have learned to access the collective body of infinite consciousness we all birth from. This is not a special gift. The gnostic process is an altogether ‘normal’ level of perception. Everyone accesses it at a subconscious level. How conscious you become of this connection is determined by how much you focus on it.

To read a spiritual book is to be more spiritual, regardless of the book’s contents, because it is a choice to focus on your spiritual connection.

By devoting my life to gnosis, I have willingly given the possibility of normality to it and submitted to the separation that perceptual clarity creates in a polarized, dualistic reality. To have something I am so passionate about makes me incredibly fortunate. Across my adult life, I have received a message through the gnostic process — a message about understanding who, what, and why we are as human beings. This message offers a fascinating vantage point on the human experience, as well as giving profound insights into the nature of our wider collective consciousness.

The information that has come through about what the human experience is has been remarkably consistent. It has just broadened and deepened. However, my understanding of what I do continues to shift, expand, and morph. Whereas I used to see my explanation of how channeling works as evolving, I now see that all the explanations I have given along the way apply, with each offering its own unique vantage point/flavor. How the gnostic process works is best understood through them all because there is no easy way to pin it down. Each explanation points at it, but none encapsulates it. This is not because it is complex, but because it is so broad and simple. Our lack of understanding the ‘science’ of gnosis may make it appear to be a magical art, but that is only because of our inability to measure consciousness.

Gnosis is an extension of intuition. We often experience a gut instinct when driving around looking for a parking space. You come to a junction where you can go left or right and ask yourself, “Which way should I go?” In response, most people feel some form of inner nudge. Sometimes this nudge works out and sometimes it doesn’t. But, regardless, there is this extrasensory response. The gnostic process extends that inner nudge and starts with simply acknowledging that something ‘real’ happens in that moment. The nudge is a flow of feeling … of information … of energy … of instinct. Through the gnostic process, I have focused on strengthening my intuitive response. Now, instead of answering basic questions like, “Should I go left or right?” I ask bigger, broader questions and receive bigger, broader answers.

Gnosis is intuition — the evolution of the gut instinct we all possess.

Our instinctive response/intuition flows from the unified, collective level of consciousness we are each an expression of. This is often referred to as ‘Source Consciousness’ and is what religion personifies as “God.” Being non-physical and timeless, all consciousness is unified. In being unified, consciousness is like a single, connected body of water. This is the ocean of consciousness we each birth from and will return to when we die. Imagine this ocean of unified consciousness decides to create a reality like humanity. As it is conceiving of it, picture a vapor rising and a cloud forming. This represents the ocean forming its intention. Next, it rains, and many raindrops are produced. Through this process/intention, the singular, unified body of water becomes many raindrops. This is a metaphor of ‘the one’ becoming ‘the many.’ These raindrops are the individuals of the imagined reality. They each experience themselves as not only separate from each other, but from the ocean that has birthed them. However, this experience is only temporary. When this mortal illusion ends at physical death, you will step out of the experience of linear time, out of the experience of physicality, and back into the knowing of being whole … back into the ocean.

We are all emerging from the ocean.

We are all returning to the ocean.

Because of our unresolved/unfinished life experiences, each of us suggests more lives that the ocean can experience. So, even though we will each dive back in when the illusion of physicality dies, we each emerge again as our intention continues to unfold. We leave/forget the knowing of unity (the ocean), go into individuality (a raindrop), and then return to the knowing of connection by remembering the ocean. To perceptually reunify with the ocean is to remember/return to the knowing that all separation is an illusion. To call our experience of separation an illusion is not to say it is ‘not real.’ The illusion of separation is as ‘real’ as experience can get. Raindrops are real. Our individuality is real. Human life may be a perceptual projection, but so is everything we call ‘real.’

‘real’ is the illusion = the illusion is real = reality is an illusion.

Not only is physical reality an illusion, but so is the experience of time. Everything temporal/defined by time/temporary is an illusion. Nothing is temporary. Everything is always. These words do not describe an absolute. They describe the experience of consciousness in the wider reality. Linear time is a defining feature of the mortal experience because the ocean of consciousness exists in a timeless state. The wider reality is unified/connected/fully-inclusive/whole, whereas linear time is an interrelationship between the mortal self and a timeline. This requires a perceptual separation between you and that timeline (as well as a separation between events on that timeline). The timelessness of the ocean is not a state of ‘no time.’ It is a state of ‘all-time’ being simultaneously available. The future is as present as the past. This makes linearity and sequencing meaningless. The ocean is one unified wholeness. It is All That Is. And, in being everything … one thing … unified, it cannot experience the relationship of time in the way we do because it is undivided, and relationships require two separate things to relate.

Our mortality/the human experience is temporary. This physical life will be discovered to be an illusion because, when you die, physicality and the experience of linear time will dissolve. It will disintegrate into nothing/merge into everything, and the realization you will have as you experience this transition of form/perception is, “Oh! It was a dream. What I thought was solid and permanent isn’t.” While our nightly dreams aren’t our reality permanently, they are a temporary reality. Our dreams are a ‘real’ thing that affects us. They are something that certainly ‘happens.’

You are the ocean. You are infinite consciousness dreaming.

Everything contains equal potential for meaning — a potential activated by your vantage point on it. Life being a dream does not imply any lack of meaning because everything is an illusion. All of creation is a dream. Creation is an experience that arises from the ocean of consciousness and returns to it. To awaken into a new reality is to experience your current reality dissolving, just like waking from a dream. There are infinite realities for us to awaken into. No matter where or when you are, you can awaken somewhere else. You are not contained. You are the creator of your experience. You are free.

Although we can enter into an individuated ‘raindrop’ form and, while in that form, we experience ourselves as separate from the whole, there is still only one consciousness. In our ocean analogy, it is water itself. Even in our individualized form, we are water … and water is what the ocean is made of. There is nothing else in the ocean. There is only water. You are not just ‘a life.’ You are life itself. You are water. And, in being this water — this raindrop of consciousness — you are everything that water is.

It does not matter if you are the ocean or a raindrop
— you are everything that water is.

You are infinite consciousness. You are “God.” You are eternal. You are ‘The One Consciousness’/‘The One Self’/‘The All’ exploring what it is when encased in linear time and physical matter (space). There is nothing that an enormous quantity of consciousness can do better than a little. Each raindrop contains the potential of the entire ocean. Consciousness is holographic. Or, put in a simpler way, Katharine Hepburn in an acting role is still Katharine Hepburn, and “God” in mortal form is still “God.”

Even though we remain infinite consciousness, our potential is significantly narrowed when human because, in entering individuality, we willingly choose to enter a limited view of ourselves — the focus of being an individual. We do this because we want a mortal/limited/narrow view. Through the human experience, we have honed our individuality into a laser-like focus. We hide our full potential from ourselves to create the joy of overcoming challenges and discovering our infinite nature in ever-unfolding ways. This reality has gone so deep … so far. But now all the raindrops — the storm of humanity — are returning to the ocean. We are each a part of that awakening. Through this process, we are gradually returning to all that the ocean is inside of ourselves. And yet, we remain in human form, just experiencing a shallower level of individuality. We each bridge the physical and the non-physical — the human and the divine.

Because of its holographic nature, all realities are the ocean experiencing reflections of itself. Reality has to be a mirror because there is nothing else to look at except ourselves. The one consciousness is everything in existence.

All experience is the one consciousness experiencing itself.

The separation/perceptual illusion of individuality is entirely meaningful. We created it to experience it. Life is not the result of a random collision of atoms. Mortality is not something we must endure to get somewhere else. It is intended. It is designed by infinite intelligence. We are where we want to be. There is no singular reason behind our intention for life, but the central theme is the transformation of self. By transforming our experience of self, we learn what an individuated self is. We learn what is temporary (physicality) and what is eternal (consciousness). We begin with our transformation through the transition of biological aging, but there is no end to the polarities/dimensions of self/qualities of being/aspects/definitions that we experience as changing. When mortal, the reflection of our ever-changing self-definition reveals the level of consciousness that witnesses the changing self, and that is to reveal the mirror of reality.

We are playing the game of individuality. There is nothing ‘at stake’ in this game, but we designed it to feel high stakes. We love the profound meanings and passionate feelings of purpose it creates. We are each constantly transforming our experience of separation. This process is amplified by realizing how reality is an illusion/life is a dream. The tightness of our individuality falls away not only at death, but through the entering of wide states of ‘altered consciousness’ where we open ourselves to all that we are/the ocean.

To awaken is to remember.

We are remembering where we came from because we are returning to it. In doing this, we assimilate its attributes, including our infinite nature and the knowing of ourselves as the creator of our experience. Spiritual awakening is the meeting of the mortal and the immortal. It is the realization that you are both. All that limits our mortality is unconsciousness. All that limits us is our beliefs. Our beliefs describe what we are conscious of and what we are unconscious of. Our beliefs are interwoven with millennia of thinking of ourselves in a limited form. A limited belief is a belief in a self-limitation. It is to become unconscious of certain potentials — making them inaccessible. In awakening, we are undressing by removing our cloaks of limited thinking. To awaken is to experience that which you are unconscious of becoming conscious. It is to remember what you chose to forget in order to sculpt your mortal experience. It is a wonderful game to remember because of how remembering spontaneously transforms our experience of self. To be awake to your wider nature is to feel the ocean within you and act/choose from that wider state of consciousness. This is to choose from the knowing of unity and connection rather than fear, distrust, competition, and hierarchy.

Too many religious teachings are full of shame and guilt, founded on how we are “fallen” or must correct some mistake or “original sin” to be allowed to return to “God.” This is based on the idea/feeling/belief that humanity itself has been a mistake. This is self-hatred. Humanity is not a mistake. You have not made a mistake and you are not being forced to endure a punishment. You are a state of consciousness who enjoys challenging experiences — such as living with intense, diverse, highly contrasting beliefs, feelings, and values.

Some people fantasize about being selected to compete on survival reality shows. Once selected, they excitedly look forward to what will be weeks of hardship and suffering. They look forward to facing the challenge despite how physically, mentally, and emotionally painful it will be. So, this idea that we, as eternal, timeless beings, would choose the hardship of relatively temporary human life is not as illogical or unfamiliar a concept as it first may appear. Do not be concerned by how insurmountable the challenges of your life may seem. You composed this journey and the experiential map you are traversing. Trust yourself.

Spiritual awakening is not optional within the human experience. You cannot fail to wake up. It is a state of consciousness the human experience inevitably leads us to. Just as the rain cloud floats over from the ocean to the mountains, drops it rain, and that water inevitably returns to the ocean, so it is with us. You cannot help but return to the ocean. We are free to take as many detours as we like, but all paths eventually lead back home. You are awakening/remembering/returning right now. The only choice is whether you allow it or resist it. Allowance allows flow. Resistance makes it more painful/fractious, but this is not ‘wrong’ or a mistake. Sometimes, we love creating a detour with a bit of drama.

Our return to source is as inevitable as the sun rising in the morning.

This book describes how to resolve your fears/need to resist so you can allow your innate spiritual unfolding — an ever-unfolding journey into the wonders of consciousness. I am not saying, “Experience exactly what I have experienced.” Or “Believe exactly what I believe.” I am saying, “Explore your consciousness like I have explored mine because inside of you — this individual self that has been taught it is small and limited — is infinite potential … is god … is the ocean … is all consciousness … is the source of all creation … is an adventure in Wonderland.” The basis of what I teach is how to be yourself, which is the ‘you’ that you discover through exploring your consciousness. It is not to be any ideal this, that, or the other. Seeing things as absolute and hierarchical is what awakening is stepping away from. To awaken is not to step into a superior state. It is to step into the knowing of equality and oneness. It is to step from solidity to fluidity — from being stuck to being flowing.

to be yourself is to allow your being to flow.

Competition and hierarchy are monocular. This manifests as ideals that, regardless of doctrine, are worshiped. Examples are the pure, moral Christian versus the corrupted, fallen sinner, or the rich, successful, beautiful, fashionable, influential person versus the cash-strapped loser. Spiritual awakening makes you conscious of the separation that polarized values create. Although polarization may appear to be increasing, this is only because we are choosing to bring it into focus so that we can know and thereby transform it. You cannot heal a wound without first looking at it. We must bring our polarized nature into the focus of our consciousness to perceptually unify it. As we return to the ocean, individuality softens and shallows because to remember the wider reality is to realize you are not separate or alone — you are connected. This assurance reduces our feeling of jeopardy and calms emotions which is to lower the contrast/polarization you experience reality through.

You are not a raindrop that is separate from the ocean. You are the ocean pretending it is a raindrop.

Through the gnostic process, I allow the raindrop of myself to communicate with our shared subconscious knowing of the ocean such that I experience it inside of myself. This inner-sense connection to the whole is behind all that manifests as extrasensory perception. Through the opening of the heart — which is a metaphor for the allowance of feeling — we open ourselves to understand how we can access this shared, unified collective level of consciousness — the ocean we each birthed from.

To access this infinite library is to access all-knowing. All-knowing is not omnipotence. It is to know/find the next answer in the unfolding of your question. It is all-knowing because no knowledge is denied. Whatever you are looking for, you will find. However, you must know what you are looking for. If you are looking for an answer, then you need to know how to ask the question. This is rarely as straightforward as it sounds because we are used to asking preloaded questions with baked-in assumptions about our limitations. For example, people often ask questions that are preloaded with the assumption that the consciousness of immortality is superior to the unconsciousness of mortality. However, because wider consciousness doesn’t see it that way (as evidenced by it continually choosing to enter the mortal experience), the whole interaction starts off in a state of resistance to hearing the answer. Therefore, the full answer — which is rarely what people want to hear — has to start with addressing the assumptions in the question before it can begin to touch on what was concerning the questioner. Most people don’t want to hear that their fear is an illusion. Instead, they would rather have their fear confirmed. This is because they are attached to feeling their fear-based emotion. For example, if you have been feeling powerless, it can initially feel good to feel angry. Also, accepting the fear is an illusion means accepting you have been mistaken about the thing you have been fearing (and we much prefer being ‘right’ than mistaken).

Wider consciousness cannot answer a polarized question with an unpolarized answer. It must first unpolarize the question. But then the question no longer points to the answer the questioner is mentally seeking.

Most people are not seeking an answer. They are seeking validation and permission to act on their desire.

You must ask clear questions to get clear answers, and you must be able to mentally comprehend the answer to hear and retain it. Only naked, unpolarized questions give unpolarized answers. Unpolarizing yourself is a perceptually twisting dance of unraveling meaning. It can be fun to discover all the assumptions hidden in our questions. The ocean is unpolarized. You must unpolarize your mortal self to swim in it. Becoming skilled in unpolarizing questions amplifies the gnostic experience.

If you open yourself (by calming, grounding, and centering) and hold a question in your mind, you will feel a movement/flow in your heart. Gnosis is the choice to follow and unfold that movement/moment. There can be no set process. Intuition/instinct/gnosis/channeling is experienced in as many ways as there are people. You can experience it through any art form. I have developed it through speaking and writing. Sometimes I recall strong personal memories, and sometimes it is the most subtle memory I haven’t engaged for years. You may even remember moments from fictional movies or books. I do not hear a voice and rarely see visuals, but words do ‘form’ in my mind. Sometimes, I feel shapes moving, mental impressions of images, emotions, and sudden knowings. Spontaneous knowing is the everyday feeling of an exciting idea coming to you. It is the experience of revelation. I sometimes call gnosis ‘revelatory consciousness.’ The meanings developed through your life experience are your gnostic vocabulary/palette. Through memories, feelings, images, and symbols, aspects of your wider consciousness come forward to be experienced. As you piece these feelings and impressions together, you learn how to verbalize them into an answer. With practice, you learn to become a translator of how this revelation emerges. We each create our own language to do this. The sensations often appear in incredibly subtle ways that must be nurtured to yield their fruit. Although you can bring through other personalities, before you get there, it is much more a sense of simply ‘coming to know’ that arises out of opening yourself to all that you are/your spirit.

My gnostic writing is a creative translation — not dictation.

The more you focus on the process, the more the ability grows and the louder and clearer it gets. As for anything in life, to become skilled at something is not about conquering it (the competitive mindset). It is about maintaining a focus on it and practicing. Anyone can be a gnostic, but you can have a predisposition for it (self-chosen when designing your mortal form). Alongside my predisposition, I have felt profoundly alienated, separate, and anxious throughout my life. This created an early turning inward that helped connect me with my ability. My sense of alienation has focused my questions on separation, inclusion, exclusion, and equality. A hole in me/my unconsciousness wants to know the answers to, “Why am I here? Why do I feel so separate? What is this reality? Why do I feel so alienated? Where do we come from? Where do we go to at death?”

My teacher was Jane Roberts, who channeled many books from an entity called Seth. It was through reading her books that I recognized gnosticism was alive and well, and not just something from the past. This led me to the ‘channeling scene,’ and I experienced the gnostic process through their lens, which often leans into possessive, exclusionary, and worship qualities — a mask for updated church energies. I have now come full circle back to the simpler idea of gnosis or intuitive revelation. That said, I am not knocking the channeling scene. I more than understand how, with charming personalities like Seth emerging, it is easy for people to fall into giving their power away. And rare is the teacher who knows not only why they should not sit on that pedestal, but also how to navigate the somewhat tricky audience relationship. When a lot of people praise you, it is easy to believe the path of least resistance is to let them. Everyone’s intentions may feel positive, but within them is the wounded state of wanting to give away their power (said with the understanding that to take other people’s power is not to stand in your own).

Popular spiritual teachers frequently take on a ‘guru’ role where they are — despite what they may claim — essentially worshiped as an ideal. My lack of financial success and unsociability have protected me from a church-like structure forming around me. If it had happened, I can’t be sure if I would’ve been seduced, tried to tolerate it, or had the courage to destroy it. At the most successful times in my career, I have felt my ego inflate, and I try not to judge spiritual teachers who attach their perception of value to their audience’s response. The greatest gift my deteriorating health has given me has been the release of my need to be successful within my lifetime. Now, with this book written, I will die with a smile on my face — feeling complete.

Perhaps believing my words will live on is my greatest arrogance. It is fueled by a series of dreams of King Arthur showing me my books on a shelf in a huge library in a castle. That said, it is not my writing that I am proud of. To engage the gnostic process is to touch magic. Over time my ability to translate these miraculous experiences into words has improved, but my high opinion is of what I am describing, not how I am describing it. I am most proud of being a fearless explorer of consciousness.

To start channeling is to engage the human need to name and categorize the source of what is channeled, and I desperately wanted my own Seth, Abraham, Bashar, or Ramtha. For many years, the source of my messages said,

“I am you.”

So I described myself as channeling my own divinity, which spoke as a collective “we” instead of an individual “I.” It wasn’t for a decade after I released my first book that the Seth I had connected with through Jane’s books started directly communicating with me (although Seth has been with me all my life). Initially, it felt like I was being let into a party I had long been excluded from. I got to have out-of-body experiences and felt a distinct ‘other’ in my channeling in a way that thrilled and delighted me. I also discovered two sides to Seth, like the different ends of a swimming pool. At one end was the Seth I met through Jane, and at the other end was Hektr. Whereas Seth feels ancient and angelic, Hektr feels futuristic and alien. Then, beyond Seth, from further back, came Hermes, speaking of the creation and design of humanity. I loved these energies as they made me feel like a ‘proper’ channeler — like my hero Jane Roberts. Then, in the middle of this explosion of aspects, Seth dropped the mask.

Having now had an out-of-body experience, I had this fantasy of somehow meeting Seth at that level of reality. I was high on weed and believed this ‘non-physical meeting’ was about to happen. Bursting with excitement and fear, I opened a metaphorical door to where I expected this meeting to take place. I felt a profound level of illusion dropping within me and believed I was about to have a closer, more intimate communication with Seth than ever before. Instead, this potent directness gave way to the opposite experience. As I opened my inner eye and pulled back the curtain hiding the wizard, instead of meeting the animated personality I had long felt as Seth, I met something static — like a statue — but filled with information — like a library. I found everything my channeling had been drawing from, but no ‘life’ … no one alive. This was confusing and anticlimactic.

Where was Seth? Seth’s voice had led me to this place, and now it was like finding a window through which I could see him dreaming at another level of reality, and I was the dream — or perhaps we are dreaming of each other. Whatever the case, I discovered we can only meet in our dreams or by waking up from the dream.

To fully meet the ocean, you have to stop pretending to be a raindrop.

The conclusion of this is that our mortal self (the raindrop) can meet our immortal self (the ocean), but instead of it being a living, breathing creature like us, it is present in a singular, statuesque, information-rich, pregnant, eternal moment that is accessible from across all time and space. I discovered that Seth was ‘real’ and available, but in a timeless — and therefore static — infinite form. Seth’s complete wisdom, which includes the knowing of everything I could ask from within mortality was present — just not his/its lively charm. There is no animation/movement in the library because it is all there simultaneously. The wider reality is timeless because it contains all moments of time equally. Animation/movement requires change over time (which is not possible in the wider reality). Hence, spirit/the wider reality/Seth is represented as a static, infinite library that we can perceptually navigate with our limited focus by using the gnostic process/our inner senses. We provide the movement. We breathe life into the library with our questions.

Gnostics are manifestations of what I call ‘the universal teacher.’ Seth is my reflection, my brother, my collective … as is Jane. This is simply the realization that just as we are all the one consciousness behind a mask of mortality, so are all the non-physical entities channeled around the world. The presence of these grand, wise, ancient energies has been purposeful, meaningful, and impactful. I do not discourage or seek to diminish the channeling of personalities. I know the thrill of it well and continue to access it through feeling and articulating Seth, Hermes, and Hektr. It is just that instead of viewing the gnostic process as receiving inter-dimensional telephone calls, I recognize that I am selecting the messages I translate by focusing questions on our collective knowledge/consciousness.

Seth’s personality is as real as mine. The fact that I have to use my own energy to animate him/it (while in mortal form) was a hard lesson to learn, but this acceptance is a step on all paths because it is a part of being sovereign. As the creator of your reality and an embodiment of the only consciousness in existence, there is no one coming to save you. You must save yourself. You must be your own savior. You must make your own choices. You must write your own story. You must write every word you will ever read. There are no other signatures. There are no one else’s fingerprints. It is all you. It is all ‘the one consciousness.’

I am everything I have wanted Seth to be. You are everything you have ever hoped to be.

And yet, I am also Dorothy from ‘The Wizard of Oz’ wishing I could go home. We are all things — the parent and the child … the wounded, the healed, and the never wounded. A child still lives within me, unable to grow up. I still want to go home. I got all the way to Oz, all the way to the magician, and I pulled back the curtain. In effect, what I found there was a letter written to me from myself at another level of reality. It said, “Well done. Now you know the secret. Now you understand how and why the game of life was designed and constructed. I’m sorry to disappoint you with my lack of animation, but this doesn’t change anything. I am telling you that you want to be where you are, doing what you are doing. Please continue. Everything is as you wanted. Embrace what you are.”

Gnosticism is the experience of discovering there is an infinite library of selves within you. It is waking up to what you already are … all that you areall that is. To put this in more traditional spiritual language, in accessing the ocean of consciousness, you realize you are accessing a colossal library that is typically called the Akashic Records. I experience this as a living library of selves. I call it ‘living’ because when you interact with it, your energy animates it. When I read the words written there, I am Seth. I am Hektr. I am Hermes. I am the universal teacher. If you come here and read their words, you will experience being them.

You can access any self you allow yourself to be conscious of.

Selves are the primary unit of consciousness. When we access the library, the selves we most relate to emerge as our perception is drawn to them. The curiosity of our energy animates these selves within the universal ocean of collective consciousness. To ‘channel’ is to endlessly meet alternate versions of yourself — all within ‘the one self.’ As spirit, you are connected to everything. When human, you are part of/connected to all you resonate with. Resonance is the feeling of connection and leads to self-identification. There is no end to how far you can go in exploring consciousness. You are as you choose to self-identify. Consciousness is infinite, and you are eternal.

The Akashic Records are the knowledge of all time. It appears like a library (an infinite matrix of information) that our limited focus can navigate. To read a book in the library is to know/be the being who wrote it. Therefore, to read a book in the library is to know all that the book is. The library is not a ‘representation of all-time.’ It is a collectively created (yet personalized) ‘interface for accessing all-time.’

The library is not a collection of documents. The akashic records are the mandala of creation.

Whereas our reality is a time-space mirror (which reflects the one self/the ocean/the wider reality), the library is a mirror of your will (which reflects your question/what you are attracted to/what you are resonant with). Because your mortal self is a focused reflection of the ocean in mortal form, the library is effectively a focused mirror of all that has been created/discovered throughout creation. To access the library is to access the part of creation that most answers your question. When I ask a question, I imagine/know/hear/receive the universal teacher archetype that speaks across time. I hear the words I most want to hear. If I am biased, I hear a biased answer. If I am fearful, I hear the answer I seek distorted by that fear. If I am sovereign, if I am not looking to be saved, if I am not in fear, and if I have unpolarized my question, I hear the clearest possible answer to my question in a form I can understand.

To be a gnostic is to be a mirror of the library, casting reflections of it into linear time and our physical world

Because we are embodied selves, personalities typically emerge in response to/as a reflection of our questions. This is why it feels like a living library of selves and not just a collection of knowledge, and why channelers communicate through channeled personalities/entities/selves, even though it can appear hokey and challenging to accept. The gnostic process is always a reflection of the channeler, and what comes forward is what best presents the answer that is sought. The face of the answer is always a part of the answer. There is nothing extraneous — the entire experience is whole (a complete yet focused reflection). The gnostic process is triggered by having a question and believing you can receive an answer.

The imagination bridges the heart and the mind. Within that bridging space, you are open to infinite possibilities. However, as human beings, we are trained to believe that anything imagined is fantasy or ‘made up.’ An explorer of consciousness does not write off their imagination as nonsense. Let go of that limiting idea and open yourself to infinite consciousness. Gnosis is not only releasing the conditioning that your imagination is fantasy but is to allow the feeling that you are ‘just making it up.’ It feels like this because that is how we have been taught to label anything that emerges from our imagination, and we can’t just switch off that association. It is difficult to ignore conditioning that has been compounded across many lifetimes because we associate ignoring societal conditioning with ‘society’ turning against us. This is highly confronting and you are forced to face your fears in a way that is surprising. Emotional wounds from not being believed in the past, and even fears of insanity, may surface. Sub-conscious wounds from being turned against when you stepped into your power in other lifetimes may even emerge. Those with gnostic abilities often connect with lives where they were burnt to death for engaging their talents.

On top of this is the fear of what answers/messages you will receive. When you let go of control and let ideas flow freely, fear comes up: “What might I say? What might this mirror show me? Might I somehow expose myself? Might I say something bad or humiliating? Might I say something that will make me fearful or I don’t want to hear? What will be revealed, and what if I don’t like it? What if just doing this makes me a deluded, laughable, pathetic, desperate fool?”

The flowing freedom of the gnostic process naturally causes resistant fears to surface — by highlighting and contrasting them — such that they can be faced. This is why channeling is so transformative. Gnosis is one of the most direct processes to face your fears. Whether or not you become a channeler, you will find great personal benefit from trying the process because of how you will meet and face your fears. Fearing what words may come out of your mouth can be fun if you let it. Remember, no one else needs to know. You are only facing yourself. All fear is ultimately found to be of the self. You do not need to fear yourself.

A significant part of gnosis is facing a mirror that reflects our fears. The longer you can look, the more clearly you will see yourself.

If you do not let your fears and resistance knock you back and you look for meaning in the fears that arise, then learning to communicate with your spirit is a powerful tool for processing emotional wounding. To stand inside of yourself and say, “I am not making this up. This has value,” is a statement about your own value and is a decisive step towards personal sovereignty. It is to consciously stand apart from the crowd’s mass belief that “Imagination is just creative and cannot produce meaningful information about life, the nature of reality, or consciousness.” Because we live within the reflection of our beliefs, becoming a channeler is the journey to believing it is possible through overcoming the fears that stand in the way of that realization. It is to recognize the value of meeting all that you are. It is to stand in your heart … in an openness of mind … in an openness of feeling. An inner alignment of consciousness must occur to get to the profound stuff. From our mortal perspective, this alignment is best described as the release of fear.

In accessing the infinite ocean of consciousness, you are tapping into unpolarized perception. This is to step out of duality. There is not some ‘other’ consciousness within the library that is answering you. ‘Other’an experience of separation — is an illusion. There is only one consciousness. What you receive through the gnostic process is your own energy as a reflection. Your energy animates the library and is what you receive back. Just as reality is a mirror, the library acts as a mirror. It shows us our self … and your self is the one self.

A channeler learns they can direct the stream of information — the response — through their questioning. Just saying to the library, “What do you want to tell me?” or, “What do I need to know?” won’t get you far. The braver you are in asking a naked, unafraid question (revealing the deepest, most intimate secrets in your soul), the more revelatory your answer will be. My process involves feeding what I am receiving back into the question I am asking. This creates an unfolding of my question, leading to more expansive answers. Going deeper isn’t about mining further into ever-refining definitions. It is about accessing unpolarized perception. It is about clarifying your question, which is about knowing your own agenda (your pattern of passions and fears). Because disguised questions only ever give clouded answers, you can’t reveal anything without exposing yourself. Gnosis is about getting naked. This is to drop the shame and guilt — the proverbial fig leaf — that religion has imprinted us with.

Only when you completely unpolarize your question are you open to all possibilities/answers.

Gnosticism has been called ‘the lost art of knowing,’ but you could equally call it ‘the lost art of asking your imagination questions.’ When you look at channelers around the world, there is a powerful, shared core to their messages. There is also a lot of variation. That variation is all the different questions being asked (which contain various levels of agenda). If you ask a preloaded question, you will get a preloaded answer. This is because the answer you receive will reflect your agendas and denials back to you.

Channeling will always reflect your personal blindness to you. You must truly/wholely want to see your own blindness if you are to transform it. With gnosis, your question is the first half of the equation, and the second half is a reflection of the first half. The question is everything except the mirror. The mirror is the knowing of equality/oneness. It is the equal sign (=) in the equation. To hear the answer is to be the equal sign. To see the mirror is to be the mirror. To stand in the middle of the equation is to have released your question and be open to the answer. ‘Being equality’ is knowing we are one.

Be one with your question and you will be your answer.

My passion for unpolarizing my perception — which is to unpolarize myself — has been the primary driver of my spiritual process. This ‘unpolarization’ led me to deeper and wider answers until I got all the way through to questions about how our reality came to be created. This is to experience the original intention behind creating the experience of embodiment. For these kinds of answers, you have to step back to everything being included (a state of no separation/unity) because everything in existence is seen to be the result of a singular intention.

This results in the message that all must be loved … all must be included … all must be treated equally.

Even though the practice of gnosis unpolarizes you (which is to unblind you), it is not a ‘cure-all’ because you still have to meet the choice to unpolarize each belief inside of yourself. If you do not meet the experience through an open heart, it will knock you back. If you do not want to see the love and inclusion of all that the library communicates, you will instantly find a reason to reject it. The library is still. It is impartial and without agenda. It does not provide any force of unpolarization. Its unpolarizing qualities can only be accessed through your desire to see clearly leading you to shed your fears. “I want to see clearly” isn’t enough. “I am ready to face my fear and be changed by that experience” is required.

It is challenging for the fear embedded in our core beliefs to meet this raw state of unpolarized perception where nothing is hidden, and wholeness is apparent. When unpolarized perception hits a treasured belief (such as a cloaked belief in hierarchy/superiority/inferiority or a belief that you aren’t causing your own obstacles), there is a knockback experience. Unpolarized perception is naked, shameless, and unafraid. This is to see yourself stripped of your masks. It strips you bare. This book will strip you back to your essential essence if you let it. It doesn’t seek to create an ‘ideal you.’ It will strip you of your limited beliefs so that you are free to create without the limitation of fear. It will strip you of your fear-based barriers and protections. Unpolarized ideas destroy separation in a way that catalyzes us by evoking the fears we use to contain, mask, and filter our experiences.

Channeled materials challenge the mass polarized belief system. It took me until gone forty before I truly saw the polarizations I was lost in (even though I was teaching about stepping out of polarization before this). It is a long process to unravel everything we are, but it is gratifying. There are discoveries at every step of the journey. There are many vistas within your consciousness, many vantage points on our world. Every polarization we have chosen is deeply meaningful and the journey to unravel/unpolarize them is to live the experience that we, as infinite consciousness, want.

People best express what they are here to experience because that is also what they are here to share.

I feel like I am learning to be a librarian because I have had so much interaction with this library (and the personalities that have come forward from within it). When I write, I act as my own librarian. However, my ‘library personalities’ often emerge when I am in front of an audience speaking or doing a live broadcast. When I get into a potent idea while speaking my channel, it can feel like I am tapping into a speech in history where the idea was expressed with great clarity. This stream of energy often contains some of the personality of the being who spoke or wrote it. Therefore, when I channel through speaking, even when expressing universal ideas, I sometimes express the level of self/personality to which the information is connected. This animation of self, which can appear to be puppetry of a human being, puts many people off watching channeling. I can keep the tone in a more universal energy space. I used a universal/collective voice in my early channeling, which called itself ‘SunSon.’ SunSon spoke in a way that was like Abraham as channeled by Esther Hicks. Abraham is expressed as a vast, loving, collective energy who has stated they are also the entity that Jane Roberts called Seth.

I can’t read my own writing without wanting to alter it because I can’t read it without being back in the flow. This text has been through many iterations since I first wrote it, with each having new threads woven in. I never consider any text to be finished. There is no such state. There are no endings — death is an illusion. I have been doing this for so long that I am not surprised by the information. What most delights me now is when something I have been talking about for years is put more simply than ever before. Seeing what was once a big sprawling idea encapsulated in a few paragraphs is deeply satisfying.

There are also times when different subjects meet in an unexpected way that helps explain both of them. This can be incredibly validating when I don’t see it coming. It is the satisfaction of coming to the same result through two different experiments or the same destination from two different routes. This kind of validation fuels me the most. This is because what I write about validates me, not what people I don’t know say about it. When translating words from the Universal Library, I do not feel a sense of ownership. I am not looking for praise. I am looking for answers. If I am to be praised for anything, it is for facing the reaction to publicly sharing this information. But, the truth is, I have not been brave in that. I’ve cut myself off from the world because I no longer want to hear what it has to say in response to me.

I see my job as being the best librarian I can be. My job is to deliver the material. Other people can debate it. I have little interest in defending it and have lost the passion I once had for promoting it. Yes, I have given my life to this, but that is my choice for myself. With only one self, martyrdom is revealed to be an illusion. I haven’t sacrificed anything I needed, so I haven’t sacrificed. I love my choice. When I write, I can feel delighted about the text coming through. What is so powerful is that this delight feeds into the message. When this happens, the writing becomes like riding a wave of energy, with my questioning being the surfboard. This can occur when speaking, but is more limited. When I am in front of an audience, a lot of human ‘stuff’ kicks in when I am getting increasingly animated (especially when I know the more spirited I get, the more it triggers skepticism). I can’t be completely uninhibited because I am an empath (who must have all my senses wide open to do this) and feel any resistant emotions in the audience. When personalities come through the speaking, there is a walking of a tightrope. This obstacle is not present when I write. Writing is a safer environment where I am embraced by an almost entirely positive experience because there isn’t a resistive force.

I can go so deep that sometimes I only realize how altered my consciousness has become when everyday life interrupts me. I can spend the best part of a day in the writing space, and when I come back, it is like awakening from a dream. Because the writing space is so dreamlike, I experience a lot of temporal compression. Reading a text I’ve channeled transports me back to that space, and I remember the dream. My texts are a timestamp or marker for an experience within the library that I can use to easily re-access the experience and pick up where I left off.

When i write, i go somewhere else — somewhere outside of time.

When channeling, you open up to the sea of probabilities surrounding you, and you can begin to sense these as emotions spread across time. Your relationship with the past and future completely changes when you understand them as interactive symbols (often used to express fear). It is fascinating that even when privately recording a message without an audience, sometimes I can feel the future audience receiving it through the recording. This only makes sense when you understand timelessness and the non-physical nature of the gnostic process. The first time I channeled publicly (2005), I was invited to speak at a large event, and I heard the audience months ahead of time saying, “Come and say this to us.” I received so much information for that one channel that my notes became the basis for my second book, ‘You Are God. Get Over It!’

The more you step out of fear and polarization, the further you will step out of the acuteness of linear time. When this happens, instead of having a pervasive sense of past and future, you live in the ‘now’ moment. This is to be in the present, instead of dwelling on the past (either lamenting or idealizing it) or being anxious about the future. The only time you can stand in the abundant flow of eternal energy is in the present. By awakening to your wholeness, the past and future collapse into ‘the now.’ This is the meeting of the inner and the outer, which is the merging of the inner senses with the outer senses, where you experience the inner and outer as one. We are here to meet and unify all that we are. This includes everything from our humanity (our emotions, thoughts, desires, and physicality) to all that we put on a pedestal as being divine or inspirational. It is to embrace the full breadth of our being. This embrace is the bridge to another level of experience — a state of Unified Diversity — where you integrate both territories.

It is not that I am saying everyone ‘should’ learn to channel. Everyone is unique. Everyone has their own path. But, at the same time, I do want to extend the idea of trying it. I teach how to open yourself to a wider experience of consciousness. I practice an overt form of this, but everyone has their own version they can easily experience. Whatever your creative outlet … however you flow energy … whatever your favored form of expression, that is where you will discover your most powerful connection to your spirit/the ocean of infinite consciousness. In whatever way you most enjoy expressing yourself, I encourage you to take your exploration of consciousness to a deeper level through it.

Open yourself to meet more of yourself. Open yourself to the idea that there is an infinite flow of knowing, of understanding, of creativity, of love, and of energy that you can tap into and express. Gnosis is not about mental access to a library full of written knowledge. It is a living library of selves, and their knowledge/beliefs are only one aspect of the experience. Channeling is about trying on different vantage points/selves and the feelings they evoke.

Spirituality is about fearlessly allowing yourself to be as you feel to be.

The flow of revelatory energy within you is unpolarized consciousness. It is all-knowing. It is that which exists in a timeless state — the timeless state from which we all birth. It is the immortality from which our mortality emerges. When you tap into it, it is not about becoming ‘a gnostic.’ It is about becoming what you are in your deepest, most profound feeling of self. I have become a gnostic/channeler in tapping into this infinite ocean because that is what I came to be. When you tap into it, it will lead you to become what you came to be. No matter what this is, you will benefit from opening up your intuition and your belief as to what your imagination can do. Open your inner senses — not so they take over, but so you can unify them with your outer, biologically visible senses.

Awakening is the bringing together of all that you are. Whatever you are doing in life, you can use this ability to stand in the flow of pure allowance, step out of the illusion of your fear, and see the possibility of creating your life with your passions instead. Opening your consciousness is an avenue to more … more creativity … more fluidity … more energy … more happiness … more value … more ideas … more creation … more life. If you work at transforming your limited, fear-based beliefs … if you challenge your skepticism and doubts … if you use these ideas as a mirror to open yourself to wider possibilities, you will open a door to a new experience of how flowing, magical, and synchronistic reality can be.

“Be yourself” is the core of what Infinite Consciousness/The One Self/God/All That Is/The Tao/Seth has said to me all my life, and it is what I tell you.

“Be yourself.”

This means following your heart unashamedly by understanding that fear and separation are illusions. In seeking to remove fear from your perception, you will unpolarize your view of the world and meet more of yourself … more of your potential. Do this through the allowance of love for all. To come to love your individuated self is the same as coming to love all. This is because everything is a reflection. The inner and the outer … the selfless and the selfish … self and other … thought and feeling … superior and inferior — these all become one. It is the meeting of the heart and mind, and that is love for all, which includes your individuated self and the ocean we birth from. As above, so below.

To be spiritually awake is to love all equally — the ocean and all its raindrops.

When reading this book, please take what resonates and leave the rest. This is the best way to absorb it as you can always take in more with each reading as your trust, allowance, and conceptual vocabulary grows. Taking what resonates and leaving the rest is powerful. It takes a lot of practice as we don’t do well with the ‘leave the rest’ bit. We often do the opposite by obsessing over what we fear.

What we call ‘the present’ is the sliver of the big picture/mandala of creation that we are conscious of. ‘The past’ is slivers we were once fully conscious of (when they were present) but are now only partially conscious of. ‘The future’ is slivers we are currently unconscious of, but there is the potential for us to focus on them and make them present/conscious. This is why limited perception is necessary to experience the relationship of linear time.
